World Faiths Week

During World Faiths Week, all pupils have the opportunity to learn about and celebrate different faiths and religions. Through engaging activities and educational visits, pupils immerse themselves in the rich traditions, beliefs, signs, and symbols of a variety of world religions. These experiences promote understanding, respect, and positive interaction between different faith communities.

Each year group focuses on a specific faith or celebration:

Foundation Stage explore a range of world celebrations on a two-year rolling programme, including Diwali, Eid, Navaratri, Hanukkah, and Rosh Hashanah.

Year 1 have an introduction to Judaism.

Year 2 are introduced to Islam.

Year 3 learn about Hinduism and visit the Hare Krishna Centre.

Year 4 explore Judaism further and visit a synagogue.

Year 5 learn more about Islam and visit a mosque.
